About This System

gpfire.org hosts the GPFD Operations Platform, an internal web application operated by the Grand Prairie Fire Department, a municipal public-safety agency serving the City of Grand Prairie, Texas.
The system is used exclusively by department personnel. There is no public-facing component and no account is available to the general public. Every page other than this one, the privacy policy, the terms of use and the sign-in page requires an authenticated department account.
What the system does
- SCBA compliance inspections and daily riding-position sign-offs
- Turnout gear inventory, inspections, cleaning and repair tracking
- Apparatus daily and weekly inspections and deficiency tracking
- Station and EMS supply requests
- Equipment lifecycle records and fleet analytics
Email sent by this system
The platform sends a small volume of transactional email to department employees at their City of Grand Prairie work addresses. There are four kinds of message, and we send nothing else:
- On-boarding emails when an employee account is created
- Operational notifications to specific managers, such as a supply request being submitted or an equipment deficiency being reported
- Nothing promotional. We do not send marketing, newsletters or bulk mail, and we operate no mailing list
Email addresses are entered only by a system administrator from official personnel records. There is no sign-up form and no mechanism by which anyone outside the department can add an address to this system.
Our messages are plain text. They contain no tracking pixels and no rewritten links.
